TwoLittleFishes is based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire and specialises in creating great Web sites for small businesses.
The most important elements of a great small business Web site are:
- Valuable content. Providing valuable content to your customers and potential customers is the key to a great Web site.
- Easy to use. Once you've got some great content you need to make sure that visitors can find it.
- Available to everyone. Your Web site should be available to everyone, however they access it and whatever special needs they have.
- Eye-catching design. Once you've got the basic elements sorted it's time to make sure the site looks good.
You might wonder why eye-catching design is last.
Too many sites look pretty but don't have much going on inside. Too many Web sites look good at first but visitors leave the site disappointed because they can't find what they are looking for. That means they now have a bad impression of your company.
That's why I believe that designing the content comes first, and then the appearance. Don't think that means I don't believe in great looking Web sites though, have a peek at my portfolio.
