It’s worth saying now that paying a professional Web designer to do a professional job on your Web site is a good idea, because a bad Web site is worse than no Web site.

A good professional Web site can make your small business look professional. A bad Web site leaves you at best looking like an amateur, and at worst like a cowboy.

No matter how good your business might be, a bad Web site can ruin your reputation. If the first view a potential customer has of your business is a bad Web site, it’s probably the only view they will ever have.

If you can’t afford a good Web designer yet, and are thinking of getting a cheap one now and improve it later then the best advice is don’t.
